The MND Association have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media Manager to join our Communications and Digital Team at our National Office in Northampton.Salary: c.£40,000 plus benefitsLocation: NorthamptonHours: Full-Time 37 hours per weekContract Type: PermanentAbout the roleAs Digital Media Manager you will be managing the development and delivery of the Association's website and online channels, to ensure that the organisation has a robust online presence and utilises the opportunities presented by new and emerging digital media technologies. Optimising our digital channels is a key focus and we want them to be as simple as possible to use for people affected by motor neurone disease (MND) and our supporters so great skills in defining the best user experience that stays within regulation, best practice and accessibility standards is a must for this role. We're pretty strong on social media and really want to extend how we develop and promote organic and paid content on our existing channels, as well as utilising the tools available to measure,analyse and report on performance - all the while looking for opportunities to improve. We're proud that we've set up our own video planning, production and editing capability and graphics design and this is something that you'll need to develop so it improves further so we can continue to deliver great content that delights our users.What are we looking for?This is an important role in the Association, and you'll need to work with a number of different teams and stakeholders so you'll have the confidence to communicate, influence and negotiate with your colleagues and agencies.You'll be a self-starter, decisive and determined and someone that looks for opportunities plus you'll need to be flexible in what you do and occasionally work some extra hours to make sure things get done. Our website users WordPress so you'll know your way around a CMS and be confident in all aspects of planning and publishing content for our core site and microsites. You don't need to be a developer, but you'll need to know how to get the best out of them. You'll be managing a team so will be able to bring some coaching and line management experience.
