Senior Marketing Manager - B2B Media / Entertainment / Tech


Job Description

Job Purpose:

This role is to work across the Exhibition, Content and Media portfolios for the client. The role will ensure that all aspects of all external marketing and communications are delivered and are in line with the strategic positioning and brand identity.

A capable and knowledgeable marketing generalist, the Senior Marketing Manager must have a strong awareness of a range of marketing techniques and skills.


  • Develop comprehensive multi-channel marketing plans across the portfolio
  • Manage a Marketing Manager and outsourced freelance marketers, contractors and specialist agencies
  • Manage and report on the Marketing budget spend and supplier costs
  • Manage and nurture all stakeholder and third-party media supporter & PR relationships
  • Attract agreed audiences for the events through an effective marketing campaign and channel activity
  • Deliver Subscriber and Lead-generation conversion across the Media portfolio
  • Ensure communications to internal and external stakeholders are of the highest standard
  • Provide regular feedback to all stakeholders on marketing performance and KPI's
  • Manage all Digital and Social Marketing systems and services
  • Support the business with activities and tasks, outside the areas of the core role

Person Specification:

Essential - Highly experienced and qualified marketer

  • CIM Certificate qualification (or equivalent level of experience and professional qualifications)
  • Creative Events & Media campaign management experience
  • Exceptional copy writing capabilities
  • Comprehensive Digital & Social Marketing skills & knowledge
  • Experience of Data management & Insight analysis reporting
  • Extensive experience in campaign/project management
  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship management, influencing and networking skills
  • Strong negotiator and desire to succeed
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Excellent motivator and self-motivator
  • Strong ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Organized individual with strong attention to detail and consistency across all mediums
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Adaptable to a changing environment
  • Solutions focused when confronted with business problems to resolve
  • Have a supportive and collaborative working manner


  • Broadcast / Media industry marketing background preferable
  • Language skills


  • Competent user of Google Analytics
  • Competentuser of Google Adwords and Facebook Advertising
  • Competent user of Social Channel & Monitoring Tools
  • BasicHTML code knowledge / InDesign / Photoshop basic skills desirable
  • Email Marketing and campaign optimization
  • BudgetManagement
  • CRM& Data Management
  • CMS, Online platforms and Mobile systems
