We are looking for a talented midweight copywriter with a proven ability to conceive, write and edit highly engaging content to raise money and drive brand awareness, relevance and supporter engagement.
What you will be doing
At the British Red Cross, we want to create memorable and meaningful interactions with supporters through high quality, authentic, and creative content, which demonstrates the role we play in connecting human kindness with human crisis.
As our copywriter, you'll help bring our brand to life, in keeping with our tone of voice and house style. You'll lead on writing, editing and proof-reading for a wide range of mass marketing materials which drives a direct response from our supporters.
Meet the team
Reporting to the Head of Content, you'll join our content team and be part of our award-winning communications and advocacy directorate.
Your teammates will be our talented and friendly in-house team of copywriters, graphic designers, multimedia producers, story gatherers and production specialists. Together you will support the creation of highly engaging communication marketing that helps us build relationships with supporters.
You'll partner with the Supporter Marketing and Engagement team to collaborate on our summer fundraising campaign, developing creative solutions that really connect with our key audiences and work across multi-channel communications.
What we are looking for
To succeed in the role you'll be driven, enthusiastic and full of ideas for engaging creative copy, thrive in a busy content team and have a keen eye for the detail. Bringing your previous experience and excellent copywriting skills from the industry, either in-house or agency, ideally gained through working within advertising, commercial brands or a fundraising charity.
