The Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS) works with the House of Commons, the House of Lords, and Parliament staff on their IT and digital needs.
At the Parliamentary Digital Service, we're transforming the way Parliament does digital. We're responsible for the digital output of all parliamentary services. We think it's important that everyone can access and understand what's going on in Parliament. Our goal is to bring together the public, Parliament Members, and Parliamentary staff to inform, engage, support, and communicate through one, unified digital core - PDS.
As a Multimedia Producer in the Parliamentary Digital Service social media team, you'll be producing video and audio content for the UK Parliament social media channels at a time when the world is watching Westminster.
Working closely with the wider social media team and reporting to the Senior Multimedia Producer, you'll be coming up with creative ideas for content that will inspire our varied and international audiences. Whether it's refreshing production of our existing podcast offering, creating an Instagram Story video series with our Visit Parliament team to drive sales of tickets, or working on national campaigns for events like general elections, you'll put audience needs at the heart of our social media presence.
We're looking for someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for social video and podcasts, and wants to help make Parliament more accessible. Though we expect you to bring skills in video and audio production, there will be development opportunities for you. We understand that everyone will bring something different to the role, so there will be plenty of room to advance in areas that you may have less experience in. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about content design, digital strategies, and blogging.
