About the role

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is driving a period of dynamic digital change and growth to improve online experiences for our customers. The Digital Content & Experiences Centre of Excellence has been established to support this.

As our Sitecore CMS Specialist you'll ensure our CMS is operating at maximum efficiency from an administrative and governance point of view. You'll support our Content Producers and will ensure the team gets the most from our CMS and can spin up digital experiences at pace; enabling them to understand its basic operation, how to leverage the most from the system and how to fix and escalate issues.

Working alongside our talented Insight, Technology and Marketing teams, as well as subject matter experts across the BHF, major progress has already been made in developing and refining our digital portfolio. But there is more to do. Deepening engagement for our wide and varied customer-base, as well as growing our marketable universe, are crucial ambitions for the business. We can only achieve this with robust, connected and well-maintained systems.

About you

With significant experience working with Sitecore and large-scale websites with complex architecture and libraries, as well as various content management models, you'll also have an advanced working knowledge of HTML.

You'll have worked previously with Jira and Confluence for short-and long-term workflow management and it would be advantageous if you had working knowledge of Agile digital delivery processes and practices.

To be successful in this role you'll have the following skills and experience:

  • Solid and demonstrable experience and knowledge of systems architecture and CMS features in Sitecore
  • Experience in using analytics and reporting functions to make data informed decisions
  • Excellent knowledge of user experience and accessibility issues
  • Experience of training, consultation and support
  • Excellent communication skills, able to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills
