Based on the Duchy's impressive 27,300-hectare Estate, this new, exciting and varied role requires a knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to help manage our highly designated landholding.
An empathy with the challenges of balancing differing land uses, including farming, conservation, public access and military training, is essential, as is a strong and practical interest in the countryside.
You will help in the practical delivery of a programme of natural capital enhancement work, such as meadow creation and the creation and management of woodlands, whilst also assisting in the wider management of the Estate, which includes providing oversight of the MOD's training activities, assisting with the management of the Duchy's fishery, providing a bailiff function, dealing with inspections of surface mine workings and the carrying out of occasional Estate repairs.
You will be educated to HND level or above in countryside management (or a related subject) and/or have a high level of practical experience in this area of work.
