Musical Theatre Director in Residence

Job Description

Fixed-term Contract
for January 2022 - August 2023

As one of the leading girls' independent boarding schools in the country, we pride ourselves on offering a supportive, enriching and creative environment for our girls.

We are looking for an experienced, innovative Musical Theatre Director with the ability to inspire confidence and creativity to join our thriving Drama and Dance Department. The Department has excellent facilities, including a purpose-built Performing Arts Centre.

You must have experience of directing Musical Theatre to a very high standard and should be at your best when working with young people. You should be confident in all aspects of Musical Theatre, ideally with a specialism in vocal coaching. This role will also include the teaching of individual and small group Musical Theatre lessons during the school day and so is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional looking to develop their experience in an educational setting.

Working hours are likely to be over 5 days per week and will include regular evening rehearsals, occasional weekend rehearsals and events.

Circa £30,000 per annum. Benefits include meals on duty and excellent working conditions.
