The Talent Set are working with a leading UK institution in the education sector that has an excellent reputation for outstanding teaching, strong research and international links. They are looking for someone who will provide specialist internal communications support over what is anticipated to be a busy start to the academic year. A number of new projects and initiatives are coming up which will impact across multiple areas of the organisation, requiring a proactive communications response to ensure staff are well informed. Key responsibilities: Develop and deliver an internal communications and engagement plan to support staff through an especially busy period, including targeted comms and support for specific stakeholder groups Ensure regular stakeholder feedback on internal comms activity, continually assessing and improving output in response to input from others across the organisation. Provide advice and support to key members of the senior leadership team, including Executive Group and the Senior Management Teams in academic Divisions, with regular briefings, key messaging documents and comms templates as required Produce quality campaigns collateral for use across a range of internal platforms (intranet, e-newsletters, digital screens, on-site), ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate and engaging information Write and proof-read copy to a high level of professionalism that is clearly organised, consistent, well-presented and persuasive, tailoring to specific audience needs wherever possible Represent the Communications Team at key internal meetings, providing progress updates and influencing decision making around upcoming comms activity and tactics Work closely with Press, PR and Social Media teams to update on project progress throughout, including supporting with external response and reputation management as required and when specific issues arise Some of the key skills required: Experience in change commutations Demonstrable experience of managing complex internal communications projects, including development of comms tailored across multiple stakeholder groups Ability to plan and deliver multi-channel internal communications campaigns within specified deadlines and budgets Experience managing stakeholder events such as workshops, including evaluating the impact of communications and engagement activity Experience in commissioning a range of high-quality creative content on time and to brief, including film, photography, copy and creative assets Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of communicating complex information to a variety of audiences High levels of attention to detail and proof-reading skills The successful candidate will be experienced working with senior leadership teams. Also, in communicating with internal audiences at a large, complex organisation. They will understand the importance of tailoring messaging and content for different audiences, recognising the importance of reflecting student and staff voice in their communications.
