Hours: 0 hours. Flexible hours available which includes weekend shifts; to be discussed at interview (No Evenings & No Split Shifts)
Contract: Fixed term contract until September 2022
Salary: £9.91 per hour
This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible
What it's like to work here
Runnymede is a National Trust property, internationally famous as the site of the sealing of the Magna Carta in 2015. Fast forward 806 years and we have great plans to maximise the potential of the interest in the site and the anticipated increase in visitor numbers to this historic landscape as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund project at the property. Due to the location of Runnymede, you'll need access to your own transport too.
About the role "Wow!" "What an amazing place!" Just the sort of reactions we love. You'll love hearing them too, as you help visitors to enjoy a brilliant day out at Runnymede. Working as part of a small property team, you'll help care for the property, from welcome visitors and helping them to explore the site, and talk to them about Runnymede's fascinating past.
What you'll be doing
You'll love leading a small team, and with your passion for food and ability to identify new income opportunities, you'll assist the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver an excellent experience for all our visitors at our special place. Through effective supervision and leadership you will motivate the team of staff and volunteers to work towards a culture of exceptional service and make it a great place to work.
Ensuring the team are competently trained and compliant with relevant legislation, you'll also make sure every food and drink order is beautifully presented and served with a smile. You'll work with your team to ensure the outlet is well presented and tables are cleared efficiently.
You'll be proud to share our valuable work with our customers, and look to contribute new ideas so that we can maximise profit which can be reinvested back into our conservation work.
