A brand that is known all around the world, with their products in all the major retailers is seeking to hire a Packaging Manager to join the NPD team at their Warwickshire site. Packaging Development Manager - Summary of key responsibilities;

The successful Packaging Manager will have a vital role in understanding the part packaging plays in this category for consumers and customers and work with suppliers to understand technology advances to deliver a packaging strategy (including primary & secondary packaging materials, merchandising, formats) and develop a programme of work that delivers commercial growth and competitive advantage for their products
Deliver packaging cost saving and rationalisation projects
Manage relationships with design houses to support development of good practice
Improve printing process and quality of reprographics
Support NPD process to bring new products to market with trials and transit support
Manage day to day issues with site packaging, supporting QA and operations
Packaging Development Manager - To be successful in this role you will need;

Extensive food packaging knowledge gained from your vast experience in FMCG, ideally food/beverage manufacturing
To be extremely commercially competent, passionate, and incredibly driven. The successful candidate will need to set the packaging strategy and lead it by being very hands on
A decision maker is needed - someone who is assertive, confident, someone who gives clear direction and crucially delivers with pace
Excellent working knowledge of technical and legal requirements and specifications
Knowledge of industry trends and competitors and innovation capability to influence packaging development
Manage multiple priorities at once for differing channels
Successful value engineering experience whilst maintaining product quality
Educated to degree level with relevant industry qualifications
Successful line management experience where you have demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop high performing teams
