External Communications Manager
12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Working week : 36 hour week
London Based (office based role but working from home under current restrictions
This is an urgent role interviews commencing 7 December 2020 with a view to start ASAP (dependant on vetting checks). Regulatory body is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to work with their External Communications team.
The Communications Manager will manage and deliver external communication strategies, campaigns and information to support the aims of the organisation.
Research, develop, drive and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies/ plans
Provide a full range of specialist communications to colleagues across the organisation from strategic planning to execution.
Generate proactive media coverage, by writing press releases and thought leadership materials, including feature articles letters to editors and blog posts.
Build productive relationships with general and trade journalists, bloggers and online influencers.
Ensure that all written content is clear consistent and supports
corporate key messages.
Organise and deliver stakeholder events, analysing feedback, report on findings.
Develop and manage the timely design, production and distribution of publications, technical documents and all other publicity materials which meet the needs of stakeholders and are compliant with government guidelines.
Knowledge/ Skills and Experience:
Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce compelling media products such as key messages/speaking points, Q&A's and feature articles.
Experience of planning and delivering integrated marketing communication strategies or plans using both traditional and innovative techniques
Ability to take communications briefs and establish communications requirements and recommend communication solutions.
Ability to translate complex information and translate in to clear and accessible communications.
Experience in handling media enquiries
Demonstrable experience of devising messaging and call to actions, which engage with stakeholders and are effective in their execution.
Experience of implementing and managing marketing strategies - covering the entire communication mix. Maximise the potential of digital and low-cost channels in developing plans, resources and budgets.
Experience in handling the design and production of publicity materials such as booklets, leaflets, reports and promotional items.
Demonstrable experience of organising and managing events.
