My client, a PE-backed, fast-growing technology company, are looking to recruit a Commercial Analyst to join their stunningly impressive offices near Chester.

My client have enjoyed considerable growth over the last few years, and are forecast to double in size over the next 3 years. As such, they are looking to recruit an exceptional commercial analyst into this newly created position. With significant investment in both their people and their cutting edge technology, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-leading technology business.

Working closely with both the Financial Controller and the Head of M&A, the Commercial Analyst will support the company's commercial decision-making, by providing useful and accurate internal reporting and insightful MI analysis. The Commercial Analyst will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing relevant analytical reports and taking on ad hoc projects as required to support future growth and investment.

The Commercial Analyst will need to be confident in creating board packs for senior level presentation, management reporting and analysis, and able to confidently work with Excel and, ideally, Power BI.

Key responsibilities include:

Create and manage KPI packs for presentation to the directors and operations board
Create and manage reports looking at financial performance by product and sector
Working with the product development team to add a commercial finance focus to decision making
Take the lead on creating a management dashboard within PowerBI which provides a succinct snapshot of the main drivers of the business
Regular analysis of the performance of the business, providing commentary on trends, and driving value added insight about how the business can react or adapt to these trends
Closely partnering with the data analytics team to ensure data is robust enough to support senior stakeholders in their forecasting, budgeting and strategic decision making
Providing information and insight to senior stakeholders in sales, marketing, IT, product and operations to help support their decision making
Be a key stakeholder for the migration to a new cloud based accounting system The ideal candidate will be:

Nearly or newly qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling
Experience in financial reporting and management information required
Excellent academic profile
Prior experience with Power BI (or similar) preferred
Exposure to a Private Equity (or similarly fast-paced) background highly desirable
