We need a Senior Account Manager with a healthcare advertising agency background to over a 12 month MAT contract based in Berkshire.

By understanding people's wants and needs - and how they learn about and manage their own health in the context of a complex healthcare landscape - they develop insight-driven campaigns that connect them to relevant brands, services and trials. Increasingly, that means enabling flexible, channel-specific communications that meets consumers online, where they are most active.
At the level of Senior Account Manager level, you should be fully capable of leading the delivery of advertising campaigns to support clinical trial recruitment and contribute to new business pitches. You should be able to evaluate creative ideas with confidence, and have the skill to initiate opportunities for exploration that could lead to the growth of the agency's business. As a senior member of the account handling team, you will need to build and maintain strong client relationships and play a key role in managing the financial health and profitability of your accounts. You will also have learned to delegate effectively through a coaching style, and will naturally command the respect of key agency players and senior level clients.
The successful candidate will therefore undoubtedly have healthcare communications experience and the ability and presence to gain the trust of clients and cross-functional agency teams. In order to do this, you should be able demonstrate previous experience in the following areas:
· An understanding of the role of advertising and marketing
· A sound understanding of clients' businesses, therapy areas, brands, clinical development process and target audiences
· A thorough knowledge of client approval systems and processes e.g. ZINC and EPASS and legal, regulatory and compliance reviews
· A thorough knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice, PAGB Medicines Advertising Codes, Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, the EU Clinical Trials Directive, FDA GCP/Clinical Trial Guidance Documents, and other relevant advertising Codes and Standards and experience of challenging them to the advantage of clients
