Game Mathematician


Job Description

Randstad are pleased to be exclusively partnered alongside a gaming company who are looking for a Game Mathematician with Mathematics, Statistics, iGaming Maths or Game Behaviour experience to join their award winning online gaming platform. This is an exciting new role within a company who are experiencing significant growth and as a result looking to triple in size this year. Their focus is utilising blockchain technology within the gaming industry, which is a niche and very successful market. This role could be an opportunity to gain experience within a rapidly growing sector where there is high demand for skilled candidates.


In this position, you will liaise with game designers and programmers to develop new game mechanics for a variety of our games across all of our brands. In addition, you will build and maintain a number of complex statistical models and design and develop algorithms to work at scale and extract insight from large data sets. You'll create, verify and maintain complex statistical models that describe game operation, conduct proactive analysis and modelling to uncover hidden opportunities and communicate these insights to the game development team.


  • BS/MS Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or similar with a very strong mathematical
  • background
  • Creative, detail oriented, fast learner and highly motivated person
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of probability


  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • 26 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Maternity leave - 14 weeks full pay, 6 weeks half pay, rest as standard
  • Paternity leave - 2 weeks full pay + 2 weeks half pay, rest as standard
  • Flexible working hours

Working Schedule:

2/3 office days per week, 1 of those must be Tuesday
