Circa £51,000, salary dependant on skills and experience
Full time, 37 hours a week
Home working and 1-2 days in the office (location options include Northampton, Milton Keynes, Huntingdon, Lincoln, Norwich, Colchester)

We are looking for experienced Water and Wastewater Hydraulic Modellers to join our Asset Intelligence Modelling & Simulation Team using hydraulic models to analyse and understand network performance and risk issues to ensure and promote innovative, effective and efficient solutions.
The Modelling & Simulation Team is leading the fluid modelling capability for the business. Working within our team as a principal modeller, you will deliver technical excellence, develop, embed and drive efficiency, consistency, collaborative and innovative ways of working to provide first-class solutions to our customers, stakeholders and the Anglian Water business.
You will provide technical direction across the team and consultants delivering on our technical ethos and direction. Network Modelling is a core part of both the design of new assets and the analysis and improvement of our existing assets. As a Water or Wastewater Principal Modeller you will gain involvement and lead in developing solutions and testing operating scenarios to inform the design of new assets, along with diagnosing performance issues across our existing assets.
The roles will be instrumental in sharing knowledge and challenging and contributing to our continuous improvement of standards, specifications and processes. The roles will support a culture of collaboration and integration, providing exceptional service to our customers, stakeholders and the wider Anglian Water business.

What does it take to be an Experienced Hydraulic Network Modeller?
To join us in our quest to consistently deliver modelling excellence to our customers, you'll possess extensive experience in Water or Wastewater modelling. With a technical expertise of modelling tools and capabilities, you'll be able to bring complex information to life to a non-engineering audience through your strong communication and reporting skills.
You will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrable relevant experience. Chartered or working towards chartership or accreditation with a professional body.
You will have a track record of providing technical and accountable leadership in the delivery of challenging complex, system based and strategic modelling projects across the asset management lifecycle with multiple stakeholder groups.
You will have relevant software experience in your field of expertise such as:
Epanet, Synergi and WS Pro Water for Water
Infoworks ICM, InfoAsset, InfoDrainage, MapInfo/ArcGIS for Wastewater
Also experience of building and calibrating hydraulic models and a deep understanding of hydraulic principles.
You will be influencing business wide and industry stakeholders at all levels. Your role will be playing a big part in developing and advancing the industry's understanding and utilisation of network modelling methods and outputs.
Able to effectively work in a team and champion collaboration, you'll feel comfortable integrating into a range of teams to share your knowledge and expertise to reach 'win-win' solutions. You will be able to professionally challenge the status quo, put forward innovative solutions and initiate change
