Inside Sales Executive, Eastern Europe


Job Description

A leading international Education and Academic publisher in the UK is seeking an Inside Sales Executive for their Academic division to develop and maintain sales of their print & digital products across Eastern Europe. This is currently a remote working role, with a view to the Inside Sales Executive visiting the company's Hampshire office 1-2 days per week when it opens next year.

As part of the Academic sales team, reporting to the European Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maximising sales through identifying customer's needs, matching products to those needs, preparing and delivering sales presentations, writing proposals and closing sales. Duties will include:

Creating and implementing sales strategies and tactics for the territory
Planning and attending customer meetings both on site and via Zoom
Maximising sales through faculty research and regular meetings with academics
Representing the company at key industry events such as conferences, exhibitions and trade shows
Providing detailed sales reports and maintain customer and sales information via CRM systems
Uncover opportunities and solicit information from public, school and academic librarians, subject librarians, academic teaching staff and researchers through effective questioning and listening

The Inside Sales Executive will be driven to achieve results with a strong customer focus and have a proven record of sales success; knowledge and / or experience of the academic publishing industry or the library sector would be highly advantageous. Working independently as well as collaboratively will also be important, as will organisational and prioritisation skills. Fluency in any of the Eastern European languages would be beneficial but is not essential.
