We are looking for ambitious, hungry and driven salespeople to join our technology recruitment firm. Post-Covid, we find ourselves in the rare position of being able to hire, and we want to uncover the next generation of successful recruiters.
Who are we?
We are an independent recruitment company specialising in the provision of specialist IT staff, headquartered in Edinburgh. We were founded in 2009 and have grown from three employees to over forty worldwide including a successful office in Bangkok. We are a team of extremely driven, ambitious people, and our goal is to become the UK's largest (and most successful) IT specialist recruitment company.
All of our management team either joined as trainees or were the original founders. We promote from within and offer opportunities to progress for those who demonstrate capability and desire. We are friendly and welcoming and offer a bespoke training programme for all trainees. Our clients include all types of companies from global behemoths, to small software providers. In short, we help companies who your granny has heard of, and who your granny has never heard of!
We also offer some of the industry's best incentives, including Michelin star lunches, luxury watches, holiday trips, company cars and much more. As well as arguably the best commission structure in the industry - no thresholds or cap, if you do well, you are paid for it.
Who will we consider?
Anyone from raw graduates to experienced salespeople - as long as you bring a strong work ethic, the determination to succeed and the desire to increase your earning potential. We have consultants who have joined us straight from University or after a stint in all kinds of outbound sales. Sales experience is preferred, but if you have graduated and find yourself desperate for a career that offers progression and the chance to earn decent money quickly - we would love to chat with you! You must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and you must be comfortable spending a large part of your day making outbound telephone calls.
What will I be doing every day?
Recruitment is often described as fast paced, varied and fairly intense. All of these adjectives are true, but they don't really give you much insight into the role. Throughout your training and beyond, you will be responsible for the following:
* Identifying potential customers, calling them, and using your powers of persuasion to convince them to use your service. This includes negotiating commercial agreements with a wide array of companies.
* Finding technology professionals and convincing them that your customers are offering them a career they'd be willing to trade in their current role for - no mean feat btw!
* Immersing yourself in the technology sector and attending/organising technology events, meet-ups and conferences.
* Being responsible for the entire recruitment life cycle from initial contact to organising interviews, finalising employment offers and post-placement care.
