Liverpool City Centre

Monday to Friday (full time or flexible hours to suit)

We have a vacancy for a Digital Content Writer who can create targeted, value-added content across our website and social channels.

Our office is opposite Moorfields Station in Liverpool City Centre. STEM Women currently employs 5 staff with plans to double in size over the next year.

We run graduate careers events for female university students who are studying a STEM (Science, IT, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. In the space of 12 months we have become the market leader within this niche, growing sector. STEM Women ran 9 events throughout the UK during 2018, attracting in excess of 100 companies.

The Digital Content Writer role has been created due to expansion. We are looking to grow our digital offering so that employers who exhibit at our events are also able to reach out to our STEM Women members through digital and social channels.


This is a broad role that requires a candidate to perform the following tasks:

Create written content:

  • Produce regular blogs and keyword rich content across our two websites, (stemgraduates.co.uk and stemwomen.co.uk).
  • Work with the company director on occasional white paper projects. This will cover topics such as "how STEM women view the tech industry" and will combine interview data, opinions and offer unique insights.

Client facing tasks:

  • You will work with event employers, producing content that highlights their involvement with STEM Women for use on the client's own website and within our employer hub sections.
  • It is likely that you will interview employers over the phone, in person and at our events in order to generate content and testimonials.

Event assistance:

  • During our peak event season (October and November) you will assist the team by performing administrative and support tasks.

Website tasks:

  • You will test the user experience for our website, suggesting regular improvements and uploading written, image and video content.



  • You must have previous experience creating content.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a small, close-knit team.
  • Applicants must be based within commuting distance of Liverpool city centre.
  • Willingness to travel 2 or 3 days per month to London / other UK cities for client meetings and events. This may increase during the graduate event season (October and November).
  • The chosen candidate will be self-motivated and able to manage their workload.
