Job Description - Digital Account Manager
Salary - Negotiable for the right candidate
Our successful Client is looking for a Digital Account Manager to join their growing digital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the scoping and
planning of a range of digital projects from email marketing campaigns through to campaign
microsites and eCommerce sites.
This is a predominantly client-facing role and the candidate will be the primary point of client contact on a day-to-day basis, so excellent planning and
organisational skills are vital to keep projects running on time and on budget.
Working closely with clients to understand their business objectives and target audience is key to being able to identify the right approach, recommend appropriate digital strategies and tactics - and then deliver considered, effective, creative solutions. From initial conversations, scope, UX to creative iteration, build, release and beyond, our successful candidate will take ownership of projects on a day to day basis and help define longer-term visions and our clients own digital marketing plans.
Opportunities are available to receive training and attend industry-related events to broaden understanding of the 'omnichannel' landscape, deepen digital marketing knowledge, and importantly help career progression.
Travel throughout the UK will be required, dependent on workflow, but at least on a monthly basis.
Digital Account Manager Requirements:
? Proven track record in managing and developing clients and a commercial mind-set.
? Comfortable working in a mixed technical and creative environment.
? Demonstrate the ability to work independently, be resourceful and use your initiative.
? Strong communication skills and a natural ability to form and develop effective and
mutually beneficial business relationships, both internally and externally.

? A strategic thinker, with an interest and appetite for understanding the 'why' before
recommending 'what' and 'how' a solution might be delivered.
? In-depth understanding of digital marketing and the ability to add value at every level by
proposing solutions to meet the client's objectives.
? A finger on the pulse of an ever-changing digital environment, plus a thorough
understanding of how to meet the omnichannel shopper's expectations.
? Lead the strategic, scoping and planning phases of projects: create and own project
plans, including estimating, tracking and updating, following internal processes.
? Provide guidance to our clients, advising optimum solutions.
? Define responsibilities and allocation of tasks within the project team.
? Work closely with the design and development teams, monitoring progress and resolving
? Identify, manage and monitor project risks, issues and assumptions.
? Monitoring and reporting of project finances against original budget/forecast.
? Ensure end of stage checklists are completed and handovers into the next stage are
? Status reporting to clients, teams and internal line managers.
? Primary point of client contact on a day-to-day basis.
? Analysing project performance including job profitability and lessons learned.
? Maintaining relationships with appointed clients including regular face to face catch ups
to explore other opportunities with them.
? Mentor and help develop members of the team.
? Preparation and attendance at pitches for securing new business.
? Managing the digital supplier base including securing new suppliers.
? Assisting in partnering with clients on Digital Strategy.
Key Skills Required
? Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.

? Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
? Google analytics experience.
? Experience of working in an agency environment.
? Experience in working with third party suppliers.
? Experience of managing eCommerce projects/platforms.
? A proven track record of managing digital marketing campaigns.
? Experience of planning and executing SEO strategies.
? Experience of managing email marketing campaigns.
? Competent with the use of Mailchimp.
? Digital Marketing qualification.
? Understanding of shopper marketing.
