Delegate Relationship Executive - Events

Our client is a rapidly expanding Online News publication that has doubled its size in the last 2 years. The business produces many events such as conferences, round-tables and webinars. This company is at an extremely exciting juncture in its history as they are expanding and hence, they need to hire a Delegate Relationship Executive as part of their events team.

The role:

The position is part of the sales and marketing function. With upcoming events you will be involved with the research, development and fulfilment of upcoming events. You will be a good communicator who researches and reaches out to potential attendees/ delegates for summits, breakfasts, dinners and similar types of events. You need to be a team player who is relationship-driven with a true end to end service approach who can fulfil projects and ensure excellent events go seamlessly.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Drive delegate acquisition and retention on behalf of clients and sponsors
  • Approaching and communicating with delegates for future event.
  • Good research abilities to identify target audiences.
  • Producing great support documentation, brochures and marketing materials.
  • Handling marketing campaigns for Round Tables and Webinars.
  • Overseeing results through conversion tracking, targeted marketing, e-shots etc.
  • Creating custom reports for clients post event and ensuring editorial and PR opportunities are maximized.


  • Commercial or relationship experience with considerable communications know how.
  • Experience in telesales, relationship management positions.
  • Email and social media experience for targeting correct audiences.
  • Good familiarity with Linked In and researching industry sectors.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset which will be actively encouraged, supported and rewarded.
  • A hands-on approach that will succeed in a growing event / media company environment.
  • Great database management skills (we use Salesforce CRM) and strong attention to detail and customer care skills.
  • Ultimately, be very comfortable getting on the phone and talking to high level people and then following up to ensure attendance.
  • Great potential to earn good bonuses/ commissions.
