Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Sales Executive on two internationally recognised brands across print, online and exhibitions. The role involves managing an existing client base and generating new business on a worldwide basis with the opportunity of overseas travel. We're looking for someone who knows how to connect with a discerning client base, and who has the energy, enthusiasm and strong work ethic to work within the arts and interiors publishing sector. No agencies.

The Role

The successful applicant will work to deliver agreed objectives and sales targets across a portfolio of products based around the two leading brands. The main focus of the role will be to sell advertising space in our two flagship print publications to both new and existing clients. The position also involves sales for a variety of events relevant to the flagship brands. The majority of sales will be telephone-based with face-to-face sales at major trade shows at home and abroad. This is a great opportunity to work in a small, engaging and friendly team environment and be involved in many exciting projects.

Salary £25,000-£30,000 plus OTE circa £35,000.

Commission is achievable from the outset with a good work ethic and consultative approach.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is an ambitious, articulate and intelligent individual with excellent communication skills - written, spoken and interpersonal - and is comfortable with making sales calls and face-to-face meetings. We are looking for a self-starter with a lot of energy, flexibility, adaptability and capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Key attributes include:

12 months of media sales experience essential

Experience of selling to clients in a B2B media sales environment required


Experience of successfully selling digital, print, sponsorship and subscription packages

A positive attitude and an excellent team player

Energetic and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic

The ability to develop effective client relationships

Strong communication skills

Interest in the Arts is beneficial

Language skills advantageous but not essential.
