Job Description

Stonewall has long understood how valuable and influential the voice of high-powered people and celebrities can be in securing change. After all, several of our founders used their place in the public eye to establish what has gone on to become the UK's largest charity for lesbian, gay, bi and trans rights.

Join us as our Celebrity Engagement Manager and you'll help us build on this record for harnessing the power of high-powered individuals by identifying, engaging and managing suitable people, and ensuring they feel involved with their work for Stonewall - and valued for it.

Part of the Communications team, you'll work alongside our fundraising, campaigns and PR departments to maximise celebrity impact on our brand, funds and objectives. You'll grow our impressively strong base of celebrity contacts and create a long-term development plan for our core celebrity relationships, including day-to-day interactions and the management of any negative coverage involving celebrity contacts. A data champion, you'll ensure our interactions are GDPR compliant and our records up to date and share learnings across the organisation.

It's a multi-faceted role within a dynamic organisation so you'll need experience of developing and implementing celebrity management plans that support strategic objectives, and of managing and developing relationships with high-profile individuals and management agencies. You'll be fully conversant with how the media works and be experienced in creating engaging PR stories, supporting fundraising work with celebrity engagement and of using CRM database to track support communication. You'll also need to be comfortable and confident in dealing with Senior Management and Executive level colleagues, as well as senior supporters and external stakeholders.

If you think you have the right mix of skills and experience to help us harness star power to deliver acceptance without exception, please complete and return an application form by 4th February 2019 at 9.30am.
