CBeebies is dedicated to delighting and surprising its young audience and it remains the UK's most watched and most loved channel for the under-sixes. CBBC offers drama, entertainment and factual content to 6 to 16 year olds. We aim to encourage children to find out more about existing interests and inspire them to develop new ones; help them understand the world around them and provide an entertaining watch when they just want to relax

The Media Co-ordinator role in BBC Childrens will form part of a team bringing together a number of media movement activities in to an efficient and flexible centralised team.  The role will form a central link between content producing & delivery areas both Indie and in-house, CDO, Children’s Scheduling teams, and the Core Interactive & Short Form content teams.

Job Requirements:

You will be responsible for the day to day coordination of our Interactive Hub, along with some shared drives, &  Cloud Storage, including controlling access, creating accounts and setup/close down of projects.

Liaise with contacts (internal and external) to see through all stages of final delivery through to TX and ensuring agreed assets are provided to schedule & signed off by the appropriate Executive.

You will be required to do some basic editing of clips, file manipulation, and publishing.

Ensure all work is in line with the BBC standards and guidelines, in respect of technical quality and format requirements.

Please note this role comprises of a large amount of highly transactional administration of data & content which requires a high degree of attention to detail, whilst understanding and prioritising according to the technical and business drivers for our processes.

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual with first class IT skills including working experience of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management systems such as Compliance Manager, Fabric

You must have a good understanding of MAM solutions and non-linear Post Production workflows and systems.  As well as be able to do simple editing using one of the following: Adobe, Avid, or FCP, to produce simple timelines or clips

You must have previous experience of working in an administrative role, coordinating projects, prioritising work, meeting changing deadlines and knowledge of the post production process.  You will be use to working with large volumes of date with a high attention to detail.  You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 

A background in media management, such as a media, library or records management environment would be beneficial.
