Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) aspires to be one of the world's leading touring classical ballet companies that inspires and moves people worldwide. PURPOSE OF POST Working within a busy department, the Digital Executive will develop and implement campaigns to drive ticket sales, promote our artists, develop awareness of our wide-ranging engagement and fundraising activity as well as elevating the profile of the Company. RESPONSIBILITIES Be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of brb.org.uk, associated microsites and social media channels Research, develop and produce high-quality editorial content (video, images, audio, text) for publication across BRB's digital channels - ensuring content reflects our brand and maximises return on investment Work closely with the wider Brand & Advocacy team to ensure effective planning, briefing, creation, review and delivery of assets and collateral Commission appropriate authors, contributors and content producers to expand and develop digital content output Identify and clear rights on any available and appropriate photo, video and audio material for use on brb.org.uk and its social platforms Develop good relationships with all BRB departments to ensure awareness and the creation of opportunity to promote their events, activities and projects through compelling and creative editorial output. Work with all BRB Departments to build social and digital awareness and support team members in developing content to feed BRB platforms and partner media sites Support broadcast and live streaming initiatives as agreed Develop excellent relationships with touring venues and work with their digital teams to build and support effective campaigns Research, develop and establish relationships to support cross promotion that will increase awareness, broaden audiences and increase ticket sales Review competitor offerings and communications on a regular basis to maintain a strong competitive advantage Timely processing of invoices - ensuring that costs are recorded and managed in accordance with internal procedures Help ensure the BRB brand is effectively and consistently applied across all BRB collateral GENERAL Attend planning meetings internally and externally when required Ensure all communication is kept in line with BRB's key messages Participate in the provision of a safe working environment, adhering to the Company's Health and Safety policies at all times. PERSON SPECIFICATION General Competencies Strong planning and organisational capabilities with the ability to prioritise workload Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excellent negotiation skills Excellent communication skills The ability to remain calm and flexible when working under pressure Flexible in attitude and ability to adapt to change A strong team player Knowledge & Experience [Essential] Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience as part of an in-house or agency team Experience implementing tactical and integrated campaigns - in an arts or cultural setting Strong knowledge of the full range of digital marketing techniques and communications methods and channels available to achieve high-impact campaigns Experience developing and publishing editorial content across a variety of platforms Experience of sourcing and managing suppliers to deliver creative content in response to a brief Experience of digital analysis and reporting tools such as Google Analytics Experience of planning, creating and managing digital advertising through Google AdWords, Facebook and Twitter Experience of using Email Marketing systems Strong writing and proofing skills Ability to work to defined budgets and resources Experience of working with digital, design and media agencies; briefing, providing feedback, and maximising budget. A creative thinker, strong at initiating new ideas and concepts.
